The Center for Black Equity is happy to announce that we have been selected as a recipient of the @BuffaloExchange Tokens for Bags® program from July through December 2021. You can now donate to Center for Black Equity just by shopping at Buffalo Exchange Houston, Las Vegas, Manhattan-NoHo, San Francisco-Mission District, or/and Tempe.

Instead of a plastic bag, the Tokens for Bags® program offers every customer who makes a purchase one “token” valued at five cents (the cost to produce a bag) to donate to one of several local charities selected by the store. The program has generated more than $857,745 for hundreds of local nonprofit organizations since 1994 and has saved over 17.1 million plastic bags from the landfill.

Join us and the National LGBT Cancer Network on tomorrow (Wednesday, June 30) at 5 p.m. for a look at what the survey uncovered - plus survivor stories and expert commentary. The sad truth is even if she did any of these things it did not warrant two security officers dragging her down the stairs. The other sad truth is that Ms. Young was with friends to celebrate Pride weekend and may have to victim of mistaken identity.

Nellie’s has been a boxing ring for years and seems incapable of changing its culture of failing to provide a safe and secure space for Black LGBTQ+ customers. How does Nellie’s ke
